The Proud Veterans, in association with Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, conducted a ‘Gynecological and an Obstetricians check-up camp’, under their initiative named “Dhanavantari” at MI Room, Central Ordnance Depot, Delhi Cantt, New Delhi on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 10 am onwards.

The Proud Veterans, an initiative of forces veterans, launched their women-centric initiative, “Shakti” on the 8th of March 2022. The Proud Veterans is a trust and has pledged to empower, support & nurture women, be it Veer Naris, wives of both, serving as well as veterans and the girl child under this initiative, “Shakti”, which has three distinct verticals, Dhanavantari being the one aimed at health & child welfare-oriented initiatives.
A team of eminent doctors from Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, led by Dr Chandra Mansukhani, MBBS, MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), FICOG, FICMCH, who herself is one of the leading gynecologists of the country, carried out the check ups. Ms Meenakshi Dhiman, the Yoga Advisor of The Proud Veterans, demonstrated as to how a woman’s health can be looked after by means of yoga practice.
The Proud Veterans, alongwith the support of their partner institutions like Sir Gangaram Hospital, aspire to reach such medical consultation to every soldier’s wife who singlehandedly takes care of the entire family while the soldier serves the nation, away from home.
A total of 67 ladies visited the camp and benefited by consulting the specialists. Seeing the success of this camp, The Proud Veterans announced that they would be holding an eye checkup camp in Sahibzada Ajit Singh (SAS) Nagar in Punjab on the 1st of April 2022.
